A Dogs Soul

Every dog must have a soul, somewhere deep inside
Where all his hurts and grievances are buried with his pride.
Where he decides the good and bad, the wrong way from the right,
And where his judgment carefully is hidden from our sight.

A dog must have a secret place, where every thought abides,
A sort of close acquaintance that he trusts in and confides.

And when accused unjustly for himself, He cannot speak,
Rebuked, He finds within his soul, the comfort he must seek.

He'll love, tho'he is unloved, and he'll serve tho'badly used,
And one kind word will wipe away the times when he's abused.

Altho' his heart may break in two, his love will still be whole,
Because God gave to every dog an understanding Soul!

Guide dogs can be used in rescue units as well and give their lives willing to help those of us who need it. So here is a tip of the hat for all those canine guide friends that we hold dear to our hearts.

Mr. Rivera stated how he could hear all the chaos and hear the glass flying all around him. He remembers feeling the unbearable heat and the smoke filling his lungs, but still his dog remained beside him, not thinking of saving his own life but instead remaining loyal to his owner. He realized that because he was blind he would not be able to run down the stairs and be able to escape all the objects that lay around him, so he unleashed his dog in hopes that at least Dorado could flee to safety. He ordered his dog to go after giving him a pat on his head. Mr. Rivera thought he would run from just being scared as the chaos was overwhelming. For a minute Dorado disappeared with all the commotion of people fleeing and the panic that was taking place.

Mr. Rivera remembers being alone for a few minutes when all of a sudden he felt a familiar fuzzy nose nudge him knee high. Dorado had returned by his side. He then led him over 70 flights down through the building and out onto the street. Mr. Rivera knew his dog loved him but couldn't believe he was so loyal as not risk his own life in hopes of saving his. While going down through the stairwell they had assistance form a coworker who stayed on his right side and Dorado who stayed on his left. There were so many people in the stairwell trying to escape that there was pushing and shoving and allot of chaos, but Dorado stayed by his side, nudging him step by step until they were outside.
